Singapore Symphony Orchestra appoints Rodolfo Barráez as Associate Conductor
The Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) has announced Venezuelan conductor Rodolfo Barráez as its new Associate Conductor after an international search. Barráez succeeds Joshua Tan, who held the position from 2013 to 2021. (...)

Hans Graf, Music Director of the Singapore Symphony Orchestra said, “Rodolfo is a very gifted, accomplished young conductor with great enthusiasm and commitment in nurturing young musicians. We warmly welcome him and look forward to his involvement as we continue this exciting 22/23 season.”

Chng Hak-Peng, Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Symphony Group at the time of the appointment said, “We are delighted to welcome Rodolfo to the SSO family. In his new role, Barráez will conduct a wide range of projects with the SSO including the upcoming President’s Young Performers Concert, slated for 26 and 27 August, and the SSO Christmas Fundraising Concert on 15 and 16 December.
