The 2nd Hong Kong International Conducting Competition, organized by the Hong Kong Sinfonietta took place in March 2023. After being selected from 194 candidates from all around the world, the 16 contestants participated in 3 rounds of the competition, conducting a series of works. And after a final performance with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta at the Hong Kong City Hall's Concert Hall on March 26th, Rodolfo Barráez was awarded the 1st prize of the competition. Additionally, the orchestra also granted him their special award, the Orchestra Prize.
